Interdental brushes are recommended by dentists & hygienists for cleaning between your teeth.

A Toothbrush actually only cleans 60% of your teeth and gums, the front, the back and the biting surfaces. You also need to clean the surfaces between teeth, where bacteria can form. Floss can help but the most effective method to use is an interdental brush.

About interdental brushes:

  • Interdental brushes have small bristled heads specially designed to clean between your teeth where a normal toothbrush doesn’t reach.
  • You may need to use more than one size of brush.
  • Interdental brushes help to prevent gum disease by getting rid of pieces of food and plaque from between your teeth.
  • Plaque is a sticky substance made of bacteria. If it builds up, the bacteria can irritate the gums and cause inflammation (swelling), cavities and bad breath.
